Outdoor education can be simply described as learning through experiences and interacting in our natural environment. This learning can be as part of a formal program or simply gaining a greater understanding of ourselves and our environments through engaging with our environment. It is often used interchangeably with the term Outdoor Recreation. However, recreational activities performed in our natural environment are the experiences through which we learn.
