Monitoring/ Evaluation of risk management plans

Risk management plans need to be regularly reviewed to ensure that they are accurate and reflect the true nature of the activity.

To do this, after each outing an evaluation of the activity should be done, looking to see if the plan needs to be amended. An example of this could ne as simple as adding the use of sunscreen into the plan in response to recognise that some participants became sunburnt during the trip.

Seeking participant feedback is also a useful tool to help review the success of any activity. A simple questionnaire can be used to seek information about the activity, potentially highlighting areas of improvement.
