Cuts and Abrasions

A cut is any damage to the skin where the layers of the skin are broken and bleeding occurs.

An abrasion, graze or scrape, is a minor skin cut where a large but shallow surface area of skin is removed, resulting in minor bleeding.

Depending on the severity of the cut, this may impact the type of treatment. For a minor cut, see the video below.
